Can a electro magnet disable a RFID chip?

could an simple electro magnet (copper wire raped around iron) disable a RFID chip and if so how much power would it need?

It could be done..
the easiest way is to use a disposable, single use camera. With flash.
You could find some guides over google, but most of them agree with the fact that with a simple electro magnet (like you said..copper -ENAMELED- around iron), placed where the film used to be (so, as big as a photofilm socket), and connected to the capacitor responsible for the flash (the flash has to be disconnected) is capable of a power burst, good enough to blow the average RFID

How do i know? I just remember one day reading something about it..i just remember short pieces of what i read, still, the main part of the abstract was focusing on "there has to be a capacitor", because an EMP is more effective when it’s concentrated (thus, an impulse). And now i just googled "disable rfid capacitor"..
I admit i never did anything like that :)
